Accessibility troubleshooting

Fix common Android Accessibility permission issues that can stop TapPilot from running.

TapPilot missing in Accessibility list

  • Confirm TapPilot is installed.
  • Restart the phone.
  • Check Installed apps, Downloaded apps, or Accessibility shortcuts depending on your phone.
  • Reinstalling or updating can require turning the permission on again.

Permission turns off

Some Android phones disable Accessibility services after updates, battery restrictions, or security checks. Reopen TapPilot and check the permission again.

Common mistakes

  • Turning on a different app's Accessibility service.
  • Starting automation before returning to TapPilot after enabling permission.
  • Expecting the settings path to look identical on every Android brand.
